At Avon we pay particular attention to children’s safety. We review all toys and
products intended for use by children under the age of 14. In addition, we seek
to identify the adult products that might appeal to younger consumers and impose
the same stringent children’s product-safety standards on those products as
well.
Children’s products, toys in particular, are regulated differently in every
country and state, so it is important for us to stay abreast of legislative
developments in this area. We monitor all pending and recent legislation in the
United States and worldwide, and then determine when we need to globalize our
product specifications and when we need to keep them regional.
