The mission of Avon is to be the company for women, and we are committed to being a corporate leader with respect to developing workplace diversity. In particular, our strategic focus on the empowerment of women aligns with the very nature of our products, our customers and our stakeholders.
In June 2010, Avon Chairman and CEO Andrea Jung was one of the 39 lead signers of the CEO Statement of Support for the Women’s Empowerment Principles – Equality Means Business, which was launched in March 2010 by United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and the United Nations Global Compact. The Principles offer a practical approach to advance women and point the way to a business and social environment that is both fairer and more prosperous for everyone, a mission that has been the key driver for Avon’s success since 1886.
